Weekly menu from what’s in the fridge
Never use real personal data. If you need to, run it through the data cleaner.
I have these ingredients: [list]. Suggest a simple, varied dinner menu for 5 days, with a shopping list for anything missing. There are [n] of us. This is not nutritional advice.
What result to expect
A practical proposal you can adjust. Check quantities, deadlines and any legal point against the official source.
Example
Ingredients: rice, eggs, courgette, tomato, cooked chickpeas and chicken. Result: 5 simple dinners (for example a courgette omelette or chicken and rice) and a short list of what to buy.
Useful variations
- Add “no oven” or “under 20 minutes”.
- Ask it to “reuse leftovers from one day to the next”.
Common mistakes
- Treating it as nutritional or medical advice: it is not.
- Not mentioning allergies or foods you do not eat.
Getting the most out of it
- Paste the prompt as is and only replace what is in [brackets].
- If the answer does not fit, do not start over: ask for “shorter”, “more formal” or “as a table”.
- Always review the result before using it: AI can get facts, dates or names wrong.
Before you paste it: quick checklist
- Don’t include real addresses, phone numbers or contract numbers.
- Give practical context: people, time available and budget.
- Ask for a list or table so you can use it straight away.
- Check any practical detail (opening hours, prices, deadlines) at the official source.
How to adapt it to your assistant
The template works the same in ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot or Claude because it only uses plain language. If your assistant supports fixed instructions (custom instructions, Gems or projects), you can store your preferred tone and format there and paste only the variable part. On a free plan, split long requests into two or three shorter messages.
