Free ChatGPT without signing up: what works in Spain (2026)
Can you use ChatGPT without an account in Spain? What OpenAI’s official help says, what you lose without signing up and how to use it free and safely.
Many people search for “free ChatGPT without signing up”. The short answer for Spain: free yes, without an account not yet. Here’s why, and how to start in two minutes with a free account while protecting your privacy.
What OpenAI says
OpenAI’s help centre says ChatGPT is free and, in supported countries, can be used at chatgpt.com without an account. But it adds that this is not yet available for users in Europe, except the UK, though it hopes to enable it soon. If you see a log-in screen before you can type, it isn’t a browser fault.
Be wary of sites promising “ChatGPT without registration”: they aren’t OpenAI and you don’t know what they do with what you type.
What a free account gives you
According to OpenAI, an account lets you save history, export your data, share chats and personalise answers with custom instructions. Where logged-out mode exists, you get one conversation at a time, lost when the browser session ends.
Official tip: for personal use, use an email you control. If you use your work email and leave the company, you may lose access.
Privacy: two settings that matter
- Training. By default, chats may be used to train models. To stop it: Settings > Data controls > Improve the model for everyone, and turn it off. Your history stays.
- Temporary chat. Not in history, no memories, not used to improve models. OpenAI may keep it up to 30 days for safety.
Note: if you give a thumbs up or down, OpenAI says the whole conversation may be used for training even with the setting off. And never paste sensitive data.
