Hermes Agent 0.22: guided setup and one-click local models
Nous Research releases version 0.22 of Hermes Agent, its open-source AI agent, with a guided setup chat, a free trial model and one-click local models.
What it is
Hermes Agent is an open-source (MIT licence) AI agent from Nous Research that runs on your computer or a server and can serve you from the terminal or apps such as Telegram. We explain it in detail in our guide.
What version 0.22 brings
According to its release notes (13 October 2026):
- A guided setup chat that runs on a free trial model.
- A one-click local runtime (llama.cpp) for local models.
- A larger plugin catalogue.
