OpenBot: a shared workspace for AI agents on your computer
A free app in development preview that brings agents such as Codex, Claude Code, Gemini, Grok or OpenCode together in one local workspace.
What it is
OpenBot is a free desktop and mobile app that brings several AI agents together in a shared workspace on your computer. It can use Codex, Claude Code, Gemini, Grok, OpenCode, Cursor or Cline, and also local models with Ollama or LM Studio. Version 0.40.0 was released on 15 October 2026. More in our guide.
Why it matters
It shows where AI tools are heading: several agents collaborating on long tasks, with your files kept locally.
What to keep in mind
- Its website calls it a development preview: agents can act without asking each time.
- Its licence (PolyForm Noncommercial) is not open source in the strict sense: the code is visible, but commercial use is restricted.
How to try it
Download it only from openbot.run, give it a test folder and make backups.
